The eTape sensor is a solid state, continuous (multi-level) fluid level sensor for measuring levels in

  • water
  • non-corrosive water based liquids
  • dry fluids (powders).

Also available equipped with a Teflon (FEP) jacket for use in

  • chemical
  • petroleum
  • food-safe applications.

Fully assembled in a polycarbonate tube with potted cap, mounting holes and 3-pin connector – Can be used with an Arduino analog input, we include the required 560Ohm resistor. Scroll down for code & instructions.

Using the sensor

This sensor changes resistance depending on the level of liquid it is in. This makes it easy to read out this sensor from an Arduino with a resistor divider circuit using an 560Ohm resistor (we include a matching resistor).

Connect the black wire of the sensor to Ground. Connect the white wire to the 560Ohm resistor. Connect the other side of the resistor to VCC (e.g. 5V, AREF, 3,3). Connect the analog pin (A0) between the resistor and the white wire.

These are the “barebones” sensors without any additional circuitry inside (Output module “Voltage Divider”). They are fully assembled, enclosed and potted with a 3-pin JST connector. We include a separate 560Ohm resistor.
